They were from 2 moms...but when the females are full grown they can hold like 30 in their mouths. My Steveni peacock just spat out at least 20 that we can count.

Thanks guys...the moms' are holding again...more babies. I may leave them in the main tank for population control...as soon as the babies are spat out of the mom's mouth all th eothr fish will eat em. :( But I don't have a lot of room for everyone who has fry...otherwise I may as well open my own fish store. :rotfl:

It all depends on the type of fish. :coocoo: They eat their babies to protect them...uuh ok.

Allie, they are so cute! So tiny!
My future son in law, Ed, had a tropical tank now and wants to get another for cichlids. I may have some questions for you. ;)
They got me a baby biOrb tank for Christmas. I had 2 dwarf platys in it that died.

I'm going to give it another try soon, after I get the tank cycled. I'm brand new to aquariums.

Ask away...but I have only researched african cichlids from Lake Malawi...we've only been in the hobby for 8-9 mos now. All I have for fish now is 42 baby fish, the labs and steveni peacocks in a 32g...28 the mom held in her mouth for 21 days. That's a lot of babies.
and 32 subadult africans in the main tank. Plus my little betta Nigel by my pc. :)
Actually you should try a male betta in the baby biOrb...they are fine in those small tanks.

As soon as I get a job, I want to set up an aquarium (a small one- we're not allowed huge ones at my apartment) and I'm going to be asking you questions so get ready! :rotfl:
