Title: BAD snow! BAD snow!
Description: lol

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh everyone, I am busting a gut over here!!!!!!
Some of you might know from previous stories I've told, Tucker loves to DART straight for the door as soon as he hears you open it. Heck, he bolts for the door if he even sees you walk in the direction of it!
We bring him outside on his harness and he just LOVES it out there. So of course, that's why he runs for the door every chance he gets. He thinks he's going outside. ;) Not good, though, because a couple of times he's actually ran up the driveway towards the road. Luckily, we live on a very quiet, slow-paced street, and at the last house near the stop sign... so the cars are usually at a stand-still by the time they reach the front of our house. ANYWAY...
When I went to get the mail today, Tucker was RIGHT there... ready to go outside. When I came back in and closed the doors, he sat there, meowing and meowing and meowing. I felt bad for the poor guy. He wanted out so badly! :( Tonight I decided - hey - I'll take Tucker out into the backyard, in the snow!
Well I get his harness, which of course sends him RUNNING over to me. There's a bell on the collar, and every time he hears it, he goes nuts! ;) I get him outside, and he runs to the middle of the carport and then, suddenly, just STANDS there. He would NOT move. I thought maybe he saw another animal or something, but nope. He was just standing there, staring at the snow piles. I picked him up and walked to the backyard, where I then put him onto the ground.
AS SOON AS his little paws hit the snow, he JUMPED I'd say a good foot straight into the air, and then continued to BOUNCE around me in circles! :rotfl: I couldn't even straighten his leash because he was going so fast, and I was laughing so hard. He looked like a Mexican jumping bean, and every time he did it, snow would go flying! :rotfl: He had snow on his back, his head, LOL!
Finally I picked him up and brought him to the side door to bring him back inside. He was HISSING at the snow. :rotfl: Kept looking down and hissing at it. When we got inside, I took his harness off and he went right to the screen door, where he got up on his haunches and continued to hiss at the snow. OH MY LORD it was so funny! :rotfl: I'm still laughing about it. Poor Tucker. I guess he won't be so gung-ho about going outside when there's snow on the ground. :rotfl:

Dixie probably hated the snow too, because it's what trapped her under the shed for about a week.

That description is just hilarious!! I can picture it so easily. :lmao: Rocket doesn't seem nearly as eager to go out since I took him out during a snowstorm. I hope it works for you, too. :)

HAHAHAHA, :lmao: I really wish I had kept up with the walking of Lucifer. I so badly want to see how he would act in the snow but it has been so long since I took him outside on his harness I am not sure if I should.
SonyaMarie - January 24, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)

I read this story to my dad last night, and he thought it was priceless! :lmao: His own cat, Sammy, gets mad at the snow -- but instead of hissing at it, he just glares at my dad like he's saying, "You know, you were supposed to get rid of this stuff before I wanted out..."
estelle58 - January 24, 2007 06:56 PM (GMT)

Jessica - January 26, 2007 07:30 AM (GMT)
My camera is on its last legs, unfortunately :( but still... I don't think I could've captured it. I was holding onto his leash and couldn't even keep track of THAT because he was bouncing so fast! :rotfl: And I was laughing so hard.
Michelle - January 26, 2007 01:05 PM (GMT)

Jessica - January 31, 2007 01:07 AM (GMT)
He won't learn! :rotfl:
I went to open the door to grab the mail today, and who comes bolting out the side door into the carport? Yep - Tucker.
I called his name and he started walking over towards the snow, and then he crouched down really low and once again, started hissing at the snowpile! :rotfl: Not just a hiss here and a hiss there. HISSSSSSSSS - brief pause ---- HISSSSSSS-- HISSSSSSSSSSSS -- HISSSSSSSSSSSSSS and then he looks over his shoulder all paranoid at me. :rotfl:
If I wasn't so scared to leave him out there by himself without a harness, I would've ran to grab my camera to film it.
Next time, I'm going to grab the mail WITH my camera in hand. You've gotta see it! :lmao:
