 :ack: I KNOW THAT B4 When someone (sorry I am forgetful) else postred a thread like this I said I didn't notice it, but now I can't even touch my kitties without getting shocked! how do I stop this? wet them? rub them all over with a fabric softner sheet? Someone help, everytime lucifer, yayo or noah come to give me a kiss or a head butt, they always get shocked, and so do i, but they jump
:( poor little guys!

A humidifier helps a great deal. I've heard that a fabric softener sheet works, too, but I doubt cats appreciate that solution. Don't worry about it too much, though -- I'm sure they won't hold it against you. ;)

RUBBING the fabric softner sheet over them? or them getting shocked?

Tell me about the static. I've never had an issue until I moved to Wisconsin! I bought a humidifier, though, and it has helped. They still get shocked, but not near as much! And my kitties don't seem to care about getting shocked. I think they like it. :rotfl:

this seems crazy though, I just go to pet yayo and i hear the static
The awesome thing though
in the dark yuo can see static (the little sparks)
so when I am cuddleing with Yayo b4 bed it is like a little light show! :lmao:

ok, I guess I will just let it be for now!
I just feel bad when they are trying to cuddle and they shock themselves

It scares mine and makes them hesitant to touch their nose to me. Poor Ossie gets it the worst here.user posted image

I think that a humidifier would help. I have oil heat, so I don't have this problem, but if I did, I would get a humidifier.

The source of the heat doesn't have anything to do with it. ;)
