Title: Do your kitties watch you EAT?
Jennifer - March 5, 2007 07:41 PM (GMT)
Our late Eskie used to watch me eat everything and it drove me crazy. :lmao:
Now....Cody has taken over that spot. He'll take turns watching Brent and I eat. He doesn't want any food either. :coocoo: He'll perch himself somewhere level with us and just stare until we're finished :rotfl: The others will come over to us and want some handouts, but when they don't get them, they'll just walk off.
Does anyone else have kitty-watchers?????

Dixie wouldn't care, and Suzie also stares, Jennifer. It gets so annoying! :rotfl:

Maybe it's because they think that if they stare, we'll have to give them some food. :lmao:

Motley is the WORST - she'll get as close as she can to the food, and I have to be VERY careful when I'm eating noodles as she'll actually try to play with them when they're on my fork on their way to my mouth! :rotfl:

Oh yes - both of them! Sometimes at the same time!! :lmao: Tabby sometimes reaches towards my plate and tries to take something off of it. Yesterday she succeeded in stealing a potato chip! :rotfl: And of course, didn't eat it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Gussy is always very interested when I'm eating -- even when it's nothing he likes. He'll even look at me in an accusing tone of voice, like he's saying, "I'm starving to death, and you never share with me, EVER!" -- when I'm not having anything except a slurpy! :coocoo:
My first cat, Cassandra, had a routine for when I was eating vegetables: she would jump up on my lap from the left side, walk across my lap, get up onto the back of the chair on the right side, walk over to my left side (while on the chair back), look over my left shoulder, and purr in my ear and meow: "Come on, share!" She would do this if I was eating peas, broccoli, or corn.
It was quite a production number. :kittyluv:

Do they watch me eat???
More like... they practically crawl into my MOUTH while I'm eating. lol
It was so funny... our cat Charlie used to sit there and stare at you when you ate - and if you looked at him, you'd see his little mouth moving in a chewing motion - as if he was imitating you.

Shine doesn't care, unless she's hungry, but nevetheless she would never climb on top of the table.
Sun is different. Don't ask me why, but he usually get on the table only when i am eating alone. The ritual is always the same: go and check what daddy is eating, take the change to collect some kisses and strokes (never heard of anybody's death by too much stroking ;) ), back away a little bit, but sit down at daddy's arm reach!
If there's someone else sitting at the table with me, he usually remain at floor level, or jump on on free chair.
