There is a new non profit organization in our city that needs drivers to transport kitties and pups to the San Fransico Bay Area. Our city has a disgustingly high rate of euthanasia and is grossly overpopulated with cats and dogs. This organization pulls little ones off of death row and then we move them to the Bay Area if there are no spaces in our local shelters .
I have quite a bit of time on my hands and I'll have even more after we move to the mountains so I think I may want to do this. Of course, no pay is involved, it's strictly volunteer. But I would be saving all those that I transport! Doesn't it sound wonderful?? :jump:

Once I get my driver's license and a car, I'm thinking of doing the same thing...though it's gonna be awhile before I can get a car.
