Title: Female Cat Pee Pee.. sorry guys I need some help

SonyaMarie - March 19, 2007 10:03 AM (GMT)
Ok last night I was washing Lillys pee pee as it has been wet and shes always cleaning it, now ok the vagina of a cat, are there 2 glands on each side of the opening? I was scared it was cysts or something. I know it sounds weird but on each side of the slit, there are 2 bumps. Its probally just part of her vagina but I am trying to rule out what is wrong with her.

I think you should take her to the vet to put your mind at ease

Me too Sonya ... I wouldn't be able to tell ya with just a discription, or really even tell ya at all, i would do the best thing and take her in just in case

I'm not positive because none of my female cats have ever had problems, but I've never noticed any bumps around that area. You best get her to a vet asap.

Was at the vet at supper and the vetnarian gave me another prescription for her. I believe it is a UTI as she had a bad one a month ago and the vet said she is prone to them now and I think because she didnt finish all her meds before and the litter box only getting changed when Im out there and there being 3 cats with one always in heat. (Their cat)
4 MORE WEEKS GUYS!!!!!!!

Sonya, I agree with all the advice you have been given. I also wanted to say that if you are not satisfied with the vet's diagnosis, you can take her to another vet for a second opinion! Did the vet give you any recommendations for feeding Lilly certain foods, since as you said, she is prone to UTI's?

SonyaMarie - March 20, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
No, he mentioned it may be her food. I switched her back to Friskies. I know I know, its bad for them but thats what they always ate and I switched them to purina, indoor forumla but they were always throwing up and just after I started them on the purina is when Lilly got her first uti. I will call and ask the vet though.

Sonya, what I mean is, there are foods that may prevent UTI's. I didn't mean to imply that her food CAUSED the UTI. Just wanted to clarify. :)

Oh no, I know that Lisa, I was thinking it may have hahah.... but I think its from the litter box as its only changed when Im out there once a week and there are 3 cats and one is in heat.
