Well, we've had this little orange kitty hanging around! We don't know if it is a boy or girl, but for some reason we have started calling him/her George! George comes right onto our patio and sits at our patio door, looking in. Our girls have had some interaction with him/her. They hissed and growled at first, but now they are starting to get used to him. We've even opened the glass so it was just screen between them. He is here right now actually, looking in. Abbey is just watching so intently!

We put a plate of food out for him (one of the ones that the girls didn't like anyway) and he was eating it a few minutes ago. I can't tell if he is a stray or not. We are going to ask around. He's kinda skinny and he hangs around a lot, like even now at almost 2am, but he does have a flea collar on. One thing I am thinking is possible is that somone moved out and left him behind. :( Hopefully, someone will have some sort of insight into whether or not he has a family! I hope he does.

But I must admit, I am already thinking about rescuing him if he doesn't have a family. If he continues to come here for food frequently, I will put out the carrier on the patio....that is if we find out also that he hasn't got a family. If he seems comfortable coming into the carrier, etc and he has no family, we will try to "catch" him and bring him to the vet for a check up. If he is disease free, and has no family, and he can get along with our girls, we may just have to keep him! :blush: Its a lot of variables right now, but it breaks my heart to see him outside!! Its not cold or anything but its the middle of the night!! Its not fair for the poor dude!

Is he/she a kitten Mel?? Poor little soul... I know it's not cold anymore, but I hate seeing them out at night.... lots of crap can happen to them. Keep us updated and thanks so much for looking after him!! :hug: :hug:

No, I would say he is an adult. He's scrawny but appears to be fully grown.

Here's George. He/she is younger than I initially thought. Please, PLEASE ignore how ugly and dirty our patio etc is!! The people before us moved out in the winter and the spring clean up hasn't begun! Our maintenance man is going to pressure wash it, and we have "astro turf" to put down to cover the bottom. I really need to clean between the doors too because yuck!

Anywho, George. Sorry the pics are through the screen. He/she is really friendly and I don't want him to jump right in!

Oh and by the way, he isn't hissing in that picture, he is licking his lips! I put some food out for him and he keeps coming back! He seems very gentle and kind, but I haven't tried to touch him yet. I just thought I would add that he wasn't hissing because I sent the photo to someone else and she thought he looked mean! :rotfl:

It didn't even cross my mind that he was hissing! Kitties have a different look in their eyes when they're hissing. :)

Looks like there's more chance of him being a stray than MY garden cat - when I tried putting a bit of food out for her she just sniffed it and walked off, so I'm guessing she's almost certainly being fed SOMEWHERE! :rotfl:

Still no news on who might own him. But he is EVERYwhere, not just at our patio. We see him at the front of the building as well. In fact, the other day we went out the front door and there were people moving in and there was George, sitting in their car.

Oh and I am 99% sure he is boy! ;)
