One of the ferals at the feral colony is getting somewhat used to humans. He is allowing some people to get close to him and pet him on the head.

His name is Parker as given to him by his main benefactors. They took in a feral from the colony some years ago and he was named Parker. This cat resembles their former Parker so he gets his name.
Now is this really a good idea to befriend ferals like that? Will they retain most of their "street smarts?" My biggest concern is that he could be too friendly and come too close to a scumbag that would harm him. Although I suspect that if there were any evidence of harm, one of the feral's feeders would take him in. There are a lot of bottom of the barrel trash out there and my concern is for his safety. But is this a legitimate concern or am I being overly concerned???
