Title: Friends house

Look what my friend just discovered living under her house...

Waiting to hear back from her on what she plans to do.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is there a mom around? I'm assuming so, they look hidden down there.
By that photo they look to be around 2-3 weeks old - but I know some of the others on here who have experience with kittens may be able to give you a definite...it's been a while since I've dealt with tiny kittens.
If not, they need to be fed Mother's Replacement Milk every few hours. If they have fleas, they're too young for flea treatments - get Ivory dishwashing soap and wash them with it, it suffocates the fleas. A few baths might be required depending on how badly they're infested. Tinky (we took her in at 2 weeks, abandoned by her mom) went through a good 5 or 6 baths before she was flea free. You have to keep up on that every few days/every week as they hatch and keep multiplying until you can use a flea treatment on them.
Hoping for the best!

Looks like Mom is around... those kittens look fed well. Tell her if there is no mom around, then as Crystal said, she'll have to hand feed them. If Mom is around, just tell her to be watchful, see if she can approach the Mother. If she can't, perhaps she needs to trap the mother, then get the kittens. Keep us posted.. Gosh, they are just little darlings... :luv2: :luv2:

Considering how freaky weird the weather has been from one end of the country to the other this spring, I think the priority should be on getting the kittens indoors and checked by a vet. Of course they will need their mom, so she needs to be caught, too.

She messaged me to say:
Mom cat was born under my back porch 2 years ago....there were 5..I met them when they were about 6 wks....all but one vanished....somewhat social...but outdoor type--I fed her here and there. She has just had these...I assuming 3-4 weeks ago..they are hardly walking--mostly 'scooching' ears still kinda flat....I'm not sure....there are 3----and too cute....but we are moving in 4 weeks.
I asked her about trapping them (and mom) and either taking them to a shelter or giving them away when they are ready to leave mom.

I'd definitely keep feeding the mom and try to gain her trust.

I agree Crystal.
She posted the story on her Facebook and someones grandmother is looking for a furry companion! :jump: She has also had offers of cat food from someone too.

Hi!
Sorry I couldn't update sooner. At work the screen size of TC is such that I can't click on reply to posts (it's off the screen), so I can't post during the day.
Anyhow, it seems mom has moved her babies, and Melanie isn't sure where they have gone. She had it gated off so when the kittens were out playing they were kept to the porch area and couldn't wander off to the road.
She thinks she may have moved him under her back patio, but hasn't seen them yet.
