Title: Mouthy Cats

I have to admit, I actually find it funny when feeding time rolls around. Because if I do not get Munchie his food immediately if not sooner, he will let out one heck of an angry meow, more like a squak. It sounds worse than those blood-curdling squaks we hear when we step on our furbabies' tails. I mean, he is like a kid throwing a tempter tantrum! Of course I turn around and tell him to watch his mouth and wait like the other cats! He just gives me a funny look! :D I mean come on, Munchie! It is NOT like you are starving!!!! Sometimes, I even get a light nip on the legs as a reminder to hurry up! :D

I imagine I am lucky in that he is the only mouthy one of the four. I am sure others here have more than one cat that gets mouthy to them!

At feeding time, I'm surrounded by five cats - all of mine except Tink and Minnie (who wait patiently in the living room - they're less aggressive with food so I feed them away from the pack so they get their share) and my sister's cat, Aries. I get yapping from all, rubbing against my leg, everything - it's a funny sight. Everyone wants to let me know that they're hungrier than the other cats so I should feed them first.

Here's what feeding time in our house looks like:

Minnie had just walked away from her bowl (by Fig's butt) and the bowl by Nala belonged to my other sister's cat, Jubee, who was visiting that day. They all had una-tay (we don't dare say the "t" word around our cats - they know it!), the only time Tink and Minnie eat in the kitchen - they come running over with everyone else.

That has to be a trip, Crystal! :D :kittyluv: I get a three cat chorus from Munchie, Poopsie, and Willie as I am dishing up their food. But nobody is as boisterous as Munchie! Imagine a young kid screaming "NOW" really loud while pointing at a candy bar at the grocery store and you get the idea.

I pretty much have to separate my cats too. Otherwise Willie or Poopsie will go after what the other cats did not have time to finish. Many times I had to chase Poopsie away from Munchie's food because Miss Piggy got done first and went after the nearest cat's food. But you had better not get near Poopsie's food or else she will growl like a dog at the interloping cat! :lmao:

:rotfl: Feels like it, too, when she whaps you in the face with it. :D Trixie is missing one of her back legs so she uses her tail for balance a lot and doesn't control it that well.
