I noticed yesterday His eye was a little bit closed and watery. I went to work and called the Doc and made an appointment for saturday. I came home and it was really red and almost closed looked like pus coming out. So off to the ER. He has a respitory infection He might get worse before better. I have some drops and ointment for it. :(

You did absolutely the right thing by going to the er instead of waiting. Resperatory infections in feline are nothing to mess with. Hope Louper feels better soon! :kittyluv:

Minnie had that happen to her about two years ago (wow, has it been that long?) and it was the same thing.

Note, this kind of thing is passed from cat to cat. Drs. Foster and Smith sell the same eye ointment you were given - I bought two tubes so that I could treat it without another appointment for EVERY cat. The only time I'd take them back in was if it got really bad, but with a few day's treatment everything was fine. Also note that it could be a reoccuring thing - for some reason we have it hanging around (haven't had it lately, knock on wood) so don't freak if it happens out of nowhere. Just treat it and watch - take them in if it gets bad, but chances are it will go away within a day or so.

The Dr. just called about Loopers test results from saturday, and he has an intestinal parasite, :( so it more medicine. His eye looks completely healed but I have to give him the meds for a few more days.
