Title: Lilly and Iams Mature Cat Formula
Description: She eats the older cats' food

Lilly Anne is just having a ball here at her new home. And it surely did not take her long to find the food dishes! :D However, Lilly seems she would much rather eat the Iams Mature Cat Formula over the Purina Kitten Chow. With Lilly being 6 months of age, is that Iams formula really going to deny her any needed nutrition? I do not leave the kitten food out all the time because Willie will eat it and it makes him...ahem...loose.

So I guess I am curious if the mature cat (7 yrs and up) formula catfood is going to be bad for her in the long run or not? If so, I can always go to PetSmart and buy a few cans of moist kitten food. Because she does love it when I set out canned food for the rest of the herd. :)

Gizmo likes eating the adult cat food, too - but he LOVES his kitten food. Is the kitten food the same brand as the older cat food? If not, I'd try matching brands, I think they have similar tastes (all the other cats seem to love Giz's kitten food over their adult food so I'm changing brands when this bag runs out).

I'm not sure how they compare, though...

I've managed to train my kittens now - they eat upstairs and Motley and Sparkle eat downstairs.

I feed Motley and Sparkle first (with the kittens watching!) - then Rosie and Ruby follow me upstairs for the kitten food.

The vet told me that kitten food tends to be more palatable than regular cat food - which could explain why Motley and Sparkle are always waiting outside the bedroom door when the kittens have finished !

Amen to that! Gizmo is still on kitten food (he's 6 months old) and the other cats are ALWAYS eating his food.

Well Lilly is just a bit ahead of her time, I don't think that food will deny her any nutrition
