A few weeks ago, we winterized Tigger's house. We put up plastic on all the windows and over the door, and he now has a heater (last winter I had him stay in the basement).
It stays SO WARM in there. When we first put up the plastic, there was a noticeable difference inside - and now with the heater, which is on a timer, it's cozy in there. It's freezing out tonight but I was able to sit in there comfortably with him.
The little guy never leaves it seems like - he's always in there. I'm so glad he's made it his home - I worry about him out there, but he really only seems to go out to go to the bathroom and to roam a bit (but ever since he was inside last year, he doesn't go far).
Here's where his food is kept so I can see it from the window in our office to make sure it's full.

Here he is on his couch, where he can often be found sleeping.

We have the heater in the middle of the room but near the couch so it keeps him warm.

Here's his other favorite sleeping spot, the pillow I made him. I've set up the trash can by the door, covered by a blanket to block the cold air when he's sleeping there.

Another shot of his couch.

And the gorgeous boy - these were taken in the dark, sorry the red eye.
