Description: A simple and effective trick

user posted image There is a simple way to releive the symptoms of a kitty cold... I WANT TO POINT OUT THAT IT DOESN'T REPLACE A VISIT TO A VET...but it will help your baby breathe better until you can see a vet...

You just have to give your kitty humidity treatments... you bring your cat into the bathroom with you, close the door and start running the shower... the hotter the water the better it will work... just let it run for 15 minutes and you will begin to see your baby's breathing getting better... do it 4 times the first day, 3 times the second day and a couple of times a day as long as your kitty still has symptoms... and for a week after that you can bring your cat into the bathroom with you when you take your daily shower... just to make sure to clear completely his little lungs and nose... give your baby plenty of fresh water and his favorite food because his appetite will probably diminish... and of course an extra dose of TLC will also help... user posted image

Estelle, Minnie and Nala have colds right now and I was thinking of that exact thing - I remember you telling me this a while back when they had colds. I'll be doing it tonight. Thanks!

(They're on meds from the vet, too - but if this will help their breathing, I'll definitely do it)

I was thinking that this thread could be put as a sticky for future reference... it would also help if other people who have had experience with a particular kitty hillness start a thread with tips on caring for it... (ear mites, fleas, urinary problems, etc...)

I think that's a great idea.
