I have one that I converted from a baby buggy:

The boys love to ride in it, and I've had nothing but genuine interest and positive comments. :)

Thats cute, do ppl stare at you when you take them out in it?

Tim I love your idea  That turned out really well!!

I've seen the pet ones in the stores, but most of them don't look all that sturdy ... Pippin alone is 15lbs so add Merri & Sam in there and we need something with 4 wheel drive!! :lmao:

They come over, ooh and ahh, and sometimes stike up a nice conversation about cats. It's a great way to meet people. :)

Yes, I have a kitty stroller. And yes, I take them outside in it! They love it!!

I don't! I think my cats would freak out too much. :duh: Well, I bet Marley would do okay! I thought JJ bought one?

Tim, that's great!!

Yep, I have one. Sometimes I'll take a kitty or two to the petstore with me in it.

I've thought about getting one for Misha before, it would be good for a change of scenior for her without the dangers...for now, I've been taking her on walks on Sunday on her leash...she does pretty well on it, I let her go within reason, where she wants to with two exceptions: 1. We don't walk in the dirt near the field. 2. We don't go under cars. Two of her favorite spots, and a big no, no...

I always wanted one, I think they are a great way to get the cats out safely.

Tim, that is absolutely precious! user posted image I bet you do get a lot of people stopping to talk.

On of the girls at TCP-Astrid-had a stroller thing that attached to the back of her bike and rolled along. It was really cute, too.

I'm still trying to imagine Tim pushing a kitty stroller down the street :lmao:

I think they're a great idea and we've considered getting one.

**I fixed it for you, Allie** :)

When I move to a quieter neighbor hood I like to get one.

Just a thought. Is it possible that a cat stroller would increase an indoor cat's desire to escape and explore on their own?

coaster - December 26, 2006 03:54 AM (GMT)
It's a consideration. But in my experience I think maybe it's just the opposite. Getting outside in a pet stroller (or in my case the "buggy") gives the cats the experience of getting out and seeing, hearing, and smelling what's going on outdoors -- different sensory stimulations -- while still staying "inside" so to speak -- inside the safety of the stroller. My cats will hide in the back of the buggy under the hood when going past a neighbor mowing the lawn or when a motorcycle comes by, for instance. And another thing (this is just a theory) -- going about the neighborhood in the buggy gives them some familiarization with the area just in case they do get out.

Those are my own interpretations of my own experience; I haven't read anything to either support them or refute them. :)
