Title: A new addition...
Description: Francine

Well I got an email this morning from my aunt Chelsea telling me that her best friend has a kitty that she needs to re-home due to extreme allergies. She and I have been conversing all day and come the end of the week this little beauty will be coming home with me! :luv2: Meet Francine. She is coming with that name... I don't like it but I don't have the heart to change it on her now. She's 5 years old. Don't mind the first pic...lol. They were playing around.

Francine is beautiful! :luv2: :luv1: Maybe you could call her Frankie or Francie if you don't like her name?

Well guys, so far so good. No one is impressed, but that's to be expected. Imhotep is hissing at everything that moves and Shadey and Cleo II just want to follow her around. I have decided that although I am keeping the name Francine, I am going to CALL her Frankie because I think that's much cuter. :luv1: She's a beautiful little thing, big bright eyes. Right now she's hiding in the corner by the cat tower.
This is how much her previous owners obviously love her though. They took her for a check-up today, got her up to date on her shots, gave me enough dewormer to last until 2010, 3 Advantage treatments, a soft cat carrier AND a $100 gift card for Global Pet Foods.

Oh I am so happy she is there with you now!!! :jump:
Obviously her family loved her lots, its sad they had to give her up, but at least we know she is going to be in a fantastic home!

As of this morning she's still terrified and hiding under the bed. :( I'm starting to get a little worried that she's not eating or using the litter box, so I have her shut in my room for now with her own litter box, food and water for some quiet time away from the others. Hopefully she'll venture out soon. :luv1:

She's probably just nervous about her new surroundings. Ruby was a proper little scaredy cat when she first came here (although she was only 7 weeks old at the time). She didn't eat or use the litter box for 3 days - I was all ready to cart her off to the vets, then she started to come round!
After a week - I moved her into another room where there was nowhere for her to hide - and she stopped trying after a while! She's a little attention-seeker now!
