Title: Pro-Zyme
Description: Anybody use it?

Donald - May 2, 2008 09:19 PM (GMT)
My mother got a free sample of Pro-Zyme and gave it to me for my kitties. I was wondering if anybody here ever used it and if so, how did it work?

For those that have never heard of Pro-Zyme, it is a digestive enzyme pwoder added to the cat food to help them absorb more nutrients.

Never tried it, let us know. Would it do the same as lysine?

To be honest, I really do not know. Pro-Zyme claims to increase the absorption of nutrients. But how will you truly know if it is working or if it is snake oil? Are there any side effects like flatulence or whatnot from using this? If there is no side effects yet no benefits, I see no point in purchasing it once I consume my free sample. These are just some questions I was curious about if anybody else used it.

Now for Willie, it would be about useless because I have had him on a BARF diet for some time with splendid results. So to deviate from that tried and true recipe would be pointless to me. But for the other cats, who get a variety of both canned and dry food as well as some of Willie's raw food, I just wonder if there is any benefit in using Pro-Zyme for them?
