Ok, Molly has been acting out of sorts lately. We bought her a lazer pointer in Feb and shes become obsessed with it. She sits on the counter beside it where the dish is with it in it and wont move and when you go over by it, she makes a chirping noise trying to tell us she wants it.She literally is there all day and obsesses with it and even when we move it and hide it she still thinks its in there..
Is this normal?

My cats have been obsessed with things, I would say its normal and they get over it eventually

My cats have done that with some toys to the point where I had to hide them unless we were playing with them. When they hear the chain attached to the laser pointer, they all come running.

I guess I wouldn't worry about it. I would just try to distract her.

Mine do that with DaBird, I have to keep it in the drawer. They let me know where it is and wanna play NOW!!! So I too hope it is an ok thing.
