Milo has been puking up the crappy old Whiskas brand for the past few months. He is 7 yrs old now, which is the only thing which has changed with him. So I am guessing the Whiskas is just too crappy for him now. All the cats are healthy, so I am betting an upgrade in food will be good for all 4 felines....so I am assuming it it the food. I am making an appointment for a check up for him soon. Milo's vet moved away so I need to see who best/not too expensive either, around our side of town.
I noticed the Purina One brand has a Sensitive Systems food...has anyone tried this?
Cat Food
I've never used that one but my sister has her cats on Purina and they love it, she's never had any problems.
Now if I can find it here. It's not where I usually go.
I feed my cats the Purina One for adults. We've never had a problem with it and the cats like it. You can usually find it in most grocery stores.
Purina One does have a Sensitive Stomachs formula, but it's not the best quality. It's far better than Whiskas, so your crew would probably do much better on it, BUT there's higher quality food available in the same price range as Purina One if that's where you're looking to go.
Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul might be one to consider, if you can find it in your area, or even Nutro (though I'm not a huge fan, it's slightly better than Purina One).
The Ingredients for the Sensitive formula for Purina One:
Turkey, brewers rice, corn gluten meal, soybean meal, turkey by-product meal, oat meal, beef tallow preserved with mixed-tocopherols (source of Vitamin E), egg product, whole grain corn, soybean oil, calcium carbonate, brewers dried yeast, phosphoric acid, natural flavor, L-lysine monohydrochloride, tetra sodium pyrophosphate, salt, potassium chloride, choline chloride, taurine, vitamin supplements (E, C, B-12, D-3), zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, L-Alanine, manganese sulfate, niacin, calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, copper sulfate, riboflavin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, citric acid, calcium iodate, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), sodium selenite.
I bolded ingredients that might still cause stomach upset/digestion/sensitivity issues... which as you can see, is still quite a lot.
