Well yesterday morning, Lola and Abbey were sitting on the cat tree looking out the window. A stray cat wandered by our apartment and the cats got their backs up, they were very unhappy. Anyway, a little scrap with some redirected aggresion later and Lola has a scratch on her cornea.

We took her to the vet as soon as they could take us that morning. Luckily, it was only a pinhole scratch and it only went through a couple layers of her eye. So she is on an antibiotic ointment. Wow. Giving her that is FUN! :rolleyes: Rob holds her down and I squirt it into her eye. Then I have to blink her eye a few times to get it to absorb.

She is a real trooper though! Tonight's application was the best so far! She goes back to the vet on Monday for a check up!

Oh no - that sucks! We had eye issues for a while and that ointment is fun to give. :rolleyes: I'd wrap ours in a towel, put it in, and then do the blink thing to get it in. Needless to say, the cats hated me for a while.

I've experienced the eye ointment too with Sparkle last year - it does get easier after the first few goes! (The first time I tried, most of it ended up on his head!)

Her eye looks fantastic. She is still not a big fan of the eye drops but she takes them well enough. Check up is tomorrow so hopefully she won't have to take them anymore!

Lola had her check up and the vet did a dye test to ensure it was healed properly. And it was!! No more eyedrops! :jump:
