Title: Another situation...
Description: Shadey agression issues.

Shadey has struck again... This cat is driving me NUTS. :bawling:

So as you know, my boyfriend Dana moved in with his kitty Nova. Nova is great, very social, LOVES the other cats. Well Isabella has always been a skittish cat, but was a little more so when Nova came, just for a few days because he is really hyper and playful. Well it is like Shadey PICKS up on any kind of weakness.

Shadey started stalking Isabella, literally following her around, backing her into a corner and waiting to attack her. :bawling: Last week I end up hearing Isabella screeching, to walk into the kitchen to see Shadey attacking Isabella like crazy. He is more than double her size! I finally seperate them to see he has cut Isabella's face. :bawling: It wasn't really deep or anything, but I was terrified and kept Isabella in the bedroom that night. She cried all night, I would let her out and he would go after her again.

I have tried everything with this cat. The very last option is to put him on kitty Prozac, seriously. Well I came to work the next day bawling because I was so upset, and my friend David, offered to take Isabella. He wanted a short haired cat and really wanted a companion. Isabella has always been very needy, constantly wanting attention and I always thought she would do better as an only cat. I knew she couldn't stay with Shadey. I didn't want to have to rehome another cat but I also couldn't have her get seriously hurt. I knew that if I DID rehome her with David, I could see her whenever I wanted (David and I are really good friends.), I knew she would get lots of attention and be very well care for.

The bottom line is Isabella is now living with David. :bawling: She is happy there and I can see her everyday. I know that I can NOT bring anymore cats into my home without Shadey going nuts. I am going to constantly worry about him turning again, and if he does, he is being put on serious kitty drugs because there is nothing more I can do. :( I can't rehome any more of my cats. It is killing me emotionally.

Right now everything is calm...but he's like a ticking time bomb. David loves Isabella and she loves him, sleeping with him every night. It still breaks my heart though. I love my girl... I just want what is best for ALL of my cats.

Aww Kailie :bawling: I feel so bad for you :comfort:
I know it's EXTREMELY difficult rehoming one of your kitties, but it sounds like Isabella is happy (and untormented) in her new home with David and I'm sure he'll take good care of her. You did the right thing for her no matter how much it hurts you and that's a tough thing to do :(
Hugs and kisses to you and Isabella

Aw, Kailie. I know how hard it is to rehome a kitty. :comfort: I think you did the right thing. And if he continues, then I'd certainly look into medications. And if you end up going that route, I hope it works out for you. It didn't for Marley & Sasha, but there were problems from the get-go.

Kailie ... I know how much you love Isabella. And she knows it, too. You only have her best interests in mind.

Giant  Kailie a sad situation. Very happy to hear Isabella will still be close. Tell David he has to share her with us. Prayers for Shadey, having a brat here myself I know how nerve wracking it all can be.

I'm SO SORRY, Kailie. But it's so nice your story has a happy ending. Some cats just need to be an only kitty. My sister tried to adopt this beautiful calico kitty but she went crazy just HEARING other cats on the other side of the door and tore my sister's face up. She ended up getting a home where she's an only cat and now she's perfect - she's really a very lovey cat, she just gets so angry around others.

 We're here for you if you need to vent. It sounds like you did the best thing, though, and it seems like she'll be very happy.
