Title: What's your favorite Breed?

SixxyKitty - December 2, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
What's everyone's favorite breed?

I love bengals :luv2: If I was to have another cat I'd definitly go for a bengal

Elizabeth - December 2, 2006 09:03 PM (GMT)
I love Mainecoons! I hope to have a pure bred one day... A black smoke or calico. :luv2:

Oh wow I love mainecoons too!!

I love black long haired cats, but I wouldn't ever own a long hair cuz I'd be scared of it's fur getting all matted so i stick with my short hairs

Kailie - December 2, 2006 10:09 PM (GMT)
Orientals/Siamese all the way... :luv1:

Elizabeth - December 2, 2006 10:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm a bad meowmy sometimes and have to cut a mat out of Jones's fur every now and then. :duh: I do brush them a few times a week!

Jessica - December 3, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
Siamese here!! :luv1:

My sister has a Maine Coon. :) She's beautiful!

cats2fancy - December 3, 2006 05:50 AM (GMT)
Ragdolls! They are the most loving, laid back, people-oriented cats there are! :luv1: They are easy to keep groomed. Their rabbit-fur coats are just lovely :luv2: They stay with you no matter what room you are in. I feel so blessed to have TWO of these WONDERFUL cats! :kittyluv:

Hugs  Donna, Bello & Tessa :kittyluv:

Michelle - December 4, 2006 01:20 PM (GMT)
:luv2: Bengals are my favorite :luv2:

Jennifer - December 5, 2006 11:23 PM (GMT)
I love good ol' Domestic long haired white kitties. They just always steal my heart :luv2:
But all in all, there really isn't a breed of cat that I don't find lovable and beautiful :luv1:

TxnKats - December 5, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
I love several breeds, but Ragamuffins would have to be my favorite.

Though, I'm happily owned by: Domestic Shorthairs, Domestic Longhairs, Ragamuffins, Bengals, Ragdolls, Persians, a Himalayan, a Maine Coon, a Norwegian Forest Cat, and a Scottish Fold and I love 'em all.

Not all longhaired cats have tough coats! Half of my longhairs need daily brushing and the other half never need brushing and never get mats. Heck, some of my shorthairs get mats from time to time1

Ragdollmom - December 7, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
It would be Ragdolls, I would love to have a ragamuffin some day. I love the way they seek you out and hang with ya. :kittyluv:

Bengals tend to be too smart for their own good! :lmao:

Crystal - December 8, 2006 01:06 PM (GMT)
Oh so many! Bengals, Siamese, Russian Blues, Sphynx cats, Domestic Long- and Shorthairs...

Gerald - December 12, 2006 05:53 PM (GMT)
A cute face. The reason Rita talked me into getting our Boyz was when she showed me Merri's picture online I said 'Oh isn't he cute'!!

Storm13 - December 16, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
I do love all cats , but my favorite breed is the Ragdoll ,because they are the most loving ,gentle and beautiful breed ~ and they can turn any dog person into cat lovers :luv2: :luv1: :luv2:

prettykitty - December 29, 2006 03:35 AM (GMT)

I don't know any breeds of cats

Domestic Longhair isn't technically a breed, it's the term used for longhaired cats of no particular breed.

Yep, she was a DLH (Domestic Long Hair) calico.

chickyjack - February 6, 2007 02:25 PM (GMT)
SIAMESE  I will have one, one day.

ChinaBlue - February 18, 2007 02:03 PM (GMT)
Ragdolls do it for me! Mind you I could be tempted to stray for a Singapura or a longhair Scottish Fold and I will, one day, once we have finished breeding, go back to having at least one moggie - you can't beat 'em!

BTW hi Donna, and Nathalie - nice to see you again. :)

Storm13 - February 19, 2007 07:49 PM (GMT)
:) It' s lovely to see you here too Karen!

David - February 19, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
I like Ragdolls and Maine Coons. :)

ChinaBlue - February 25, 2007 07:44 AM (GMT)
My other half was stewarding at a show yesterday which involved handling a couple of Sphynx cats - he was NOT impressed, bless him. I suppose it didn't help the first one he had to take out of the pen was throwing a hissy fit! He says he prefers his cats with fur and not so ugly!! I personally would never choose to have this particular breed but I did see one at The Supreme Cat Show last November and it was very affectionate and quite a character. The owner let me stroke it and it felt like stroking a peach. Still, not a breed for me!

:rotfl: This reminds me of the episode of "Friends" when Rachael had an evil one Mrs> Whiskers, I think. She hated that cat...she thought it hissed Rachael. :lmao: :rotfl:

Anyone else want to share their favourite breed? :) (I love all cats, but... Siamese here.)

my3kitties - March 24, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
Thanks for bumping this, Jessica.

Hmmm, my favorite breed? I'm not very knowledgeable about the different breeds that are out there, but of the ones that I do know of, my heart belongs to Ragdolls. Of course, I wouldn't trade my babies for the world, but if we could afford another cat (or 20), I'd get a Raggie.

FolgerFuzz - March 24, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
I love most breeds, some more than others of course.. first in my heart is the RagaMuffins and Japanese Bobtails, followed VERY closely by maine coons and scottish folds (and un-folds!)..

I also love LH and SH orientals, tonks, siberians, persians, exotics, havanas, singys, american curls, american bobtails.. the list goes on!! Of course, though not technically "breeds" domestic short hairs and domestic long hairs are right up at the top too!!!

Auntie Kate, Kai is very upset that singies are lower mentioned on your list. Just so you know, you are now in trouble with the Kai-Baby...he might have to teach you who's boss when you're down here. :rotfl:

FolgerFuzz - March 26, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
But Kai baby, no singy could ever compare to you... that's why I don't want my own singy!!!

my3kitties - April 21, 2007 06:56 AM (GMT)
I don't know how to answer this because I get Ragamuffins and Ragdolls mixed up. Any help?

Ragamuffins and Ragdolls are basically cousins. Ideally both have wonderful, sweet personalities. I have both Ragamuffins and Ragdolls.

Ragdolls are only allowed in the pointed colors and 3 patterns. Ragamuffins are allowed in all colors and patterns. There's also differences in their head shape, ear set, eye shapes, etc.

British shorthair, longhair cats and selkirk rex. My love for ever!!!!
