We're leaving Friday morning and won't be back until sometime Sunday afternoon. We don't have anyone who can come in and feed the cats for us and besides my three are door darters, with Midnight being the worst.

My question is how much dry food should I leave out for them? And what about water? We don't have a fountain, and I'm not sure that it would be safe to leave out a bowl of water for that long.

Any help and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Anytime I leave for the weekend I just leave out extra water bowls. All my food bowls hold a lot of food, so I don't have to worry about those. So, I'd just leave some extra food and water bowls out.

If you can't leave out bowls. Leave the bathroom sink faucet dripping and/or a bowl in the sink or tub too.

I'd leave two big bowls of water and two big bowls of food - they should be fine. I used to leave ours all the time when I'd drive to Cleveland for the weekend, but we had a fountain.
