Title: Merlin

Kenny - January 22, 2009 09:39 PM (GMT)
Merlin is favoring his left eye. There is no redness, or any fluids or anyhting coming out. I just dont SEE anything that could be wrong. Then He opens both wide and it seems there is nothing wrong. Now He is chasing Myra around with eyes wide open. What could this be?? The Dr. closes early today so I cant get in touch until tomorrow. :wha:

Sending purrs and prayers

That is strange behaviour. But it could be as simple as getting a piece of lint in his eye. Hopefully it works itself out!

I Googled this behavior and there are lots of possibilities. Some very serious. A visit to the vet is necessary.

My cats sometimes do that - we have the Feline Herpes virus going on here, though, it never goes away once they're infected and it will hit them every once in a while. I definitely think that a vet visit is a good thing to figure it out...hope it's nothing big.

He has an inflamation. On both eyes. The left one is just a little worse. Conjunctivitis. Could be from dust or other things like that. He gave me some drops and we'll see how it goes. He had this before when I frist adopted him.

Ah, a few of ours have had that as well - Minnie had it the worst. Good luck with the drops.

Poor Merlin :comfort:

Sparkle had Conjunctivitis last year - he hated the drops but they cleared it up in no time!
