..Im bawling my eyes out while I tell you this..but Pixie was hit by a car this afternoon..more will come later i can't stop crying

Ok so here's what happened...
I woke up this afternoon (i was up til 4am) and let the dogs out. All week I had been asking for tie outs cuz I know the dogs will go in the road, but if we stand out there with them they won't potty. So because my parents had not gotten them yet i was doing the check back every few mins method.
Well just in that few mins the dogs were out..someone knocked on our door and i thought it was my friend coming to pick me up..so I opened it, and it wasn't her. It was a woman and she asked if I had a little white dog, I told her yes. I didn't think anything bad I just thought maybe pixie went in the neighbor's yard, but over her shoulder I saw her little body lying in the road as the woman told me she was hit. I screeched as I dashed back to my bedroom to get some shoes on hollering to my dad that Pixie was hit.
As Dad and I walked to her I noticed no blood so hope filled my heart that a peep would come out of her or a wiggle or some sort of sign telling me she is ok. But as dad picked her up, she just dropped limp. No blinking, no whine, nothing. I broke down as I started to look for Belle, as dad laid Pixie on our porch.
When Dad found Belle she was trembling under the porch, I crouched down calling for her to come out. She started to but the very minute a car went by she dashed back under..this let me know that Belle witnessed the tragedy. I finally got her inside and she's been ok for the most part, but you can tell she is hurting.
Dad cremated Pixie this afternoon, I couldn't bear to watch so I stayed in my room.
Oh, how horrible! :( I'm so sorry - that's so horrible. That's my worst fear - finding out Tigger was hit - I'm so very sorry for your loss.
