I'm wondering who would consider turning their deceased pets into gems?

I plan on doing this with each of our kitties. As you may or may not know, each of our cats is color-coded - they all have a different color collars, harnesses and leashes. I first started doing this because I used to travel a lot with them when I was in school and when Erik was in the Army, and when carrying them out to the car I could make sure I had each of them securely held. I've continued now because each one has their own harness set to their size for vet visits and, God forbid, a natural disaster.

So yes, I'm wondering what everyone's opinions are on this. If you're totally against it, speak...I won't be offended. ;) :D

If I have money for it when the time comes! You can also do it with deceased people. I think it's neat. I know it may not be for everyone, though. But I'm all for it.

I think it's a GREAT way to remember loved ones!

I decided years ago I would do it...and then like last year, my dad told me he's making himself into diamonds for all of us when he goes. :lmao:

It's nice way to remember your loved ones...but I wouldn't do it.
I don't wear jewelry enough and wouldn't want to spent the money.

I remember hearing once you could get the ashes of people/pets mixed into paint and made into a painting - I thought that was great - I'd have portraits of mine!

I still have Mittens ashes on the entertainment center. I love the box.
