Has anybody here had a young kitten around the 3 to 5 month range and be sensitive to catnip? Mother put out a new cardboard scratchpad for the big cats at her house. However, after she put the catnip on it and had Riley rubbing against it, some of the kittens came up and were rubbing and biting it as well. Could it be that they have a slight sensitivity to catnip already or are they just picking up Riley's scent?
If these kittens did develop a high sensitivity to catnip within the next month...look out!!! :rotfl:
They say at 3-4 months is when they start to respond, and I've seen that true here at our house.
I've heard that catnip sensitivity doesn't show up until 6-8 months old, but my guess would be that it would depend on the kitten.
Rosie and Ruby didn't start reacting to catnip until they were at least a year old - it sent them SLIGHTLY crazy when they were younger but not quite to the levels it does now!
