Nikki went for her check up today - she's HEALTHY! :jump:
Her red blood cell count is perfectly normal and has gone up quite a bit again since the last time - and her platelet count has doubled!
And as for her weight - she was 4.35kg last time she had a check up - now she's 5.22kg :ack: I just hope our floors will support her weight! :rotfl:
We can reduce her dose of the steroids now - from tomorrow she'll be having one and a half per day instead of two - and if that goes ok then we can try one a day! :)
We took Sparkle along too - he's been displaying un-neutered tom-like behaviours lately, including his great escape - so he had his bits felt just to make sure it was done properly! :rotfl: It was - the vet just thinks he's still acting up after the move, and he's got some stress-reducing tablets to take (along with the feliway we're already using) to see if that helps with his naughtiness and attention-seeking. Fingers crossed!
:nana: :nana: :nana: Great news for Nikki and I hope your bad boy will be better soon :kittyluv:
:jump: Nikki's blood levels are STILL perfectly normal - the vet we saw is goijng to speak to the original vet that treated her, to see if we can reduce the steroid dose even more, down to one every OTHER day.
She now weighs 5.55kg and could do with losing a bit! :rotfl:
