Title: Fingers and paws crossed for Rubes!
Sarah_Pussycat - September 23, 2009 08:17 AM (GMT)
I've just got home after leaving Ruby at the vets to be spayed.
I managed to get her into the carrier with only a slight clawing and so far the vet is still in one piece! :rotfl: :kittyluv:
I know it's a routine procedure but I can't help worrying about my little girl! She's being microchipped and having her ears washed at the same time - I have to ring at about 2pm to see how she's doing and when I can pick her up.
Here's hoping the stressful experience of going to the vets won't make her even more nervous - we're hoping for the opposite and that the lack of hormones will chill her out! :crossed:

I always worry, no matter how normal the procedure.
We'll be keeping her in our thoughts. Keep us updated!

I just called the vets and she's fine - I'm picking her up in about half an hour! :jump:

We just got back - Ruby is all dopey and sorry for herself! She immediately wanted to be in her favourite place on the windowsill, but she couldn't quite make it so I had to give her a hand!

She has to have a lampshade on her head for the next 10 days - the stitches are the dissolvable type but she's not allowed to lick at them. I can take the fetching green bandage off in a couple of hours! :kittyluv:

She's going to be just fine :)
Earlier on I went to check on her and give her fuss, and she was stuck at a weird angle down the side of the bed cos she couldn't quite work out the collar - and was too dopey to bother!
I just popped in now - and she's back in her "confident-Ruby" place on the top shelf - I have NO idea how she managed to jump up there in the collar, but I'm impressed! :jump: :rotfl:
She still looks a bit glazed but everything should have worn off by tomorrow! :)
