Title: Life after loss

I tell ya the changes among my kitties are amazing. Since Milo has been gone:
First of all there is much less litter box usage, and cat hair everywhere. I mean it's scary how much Milo use the litter box. Poor guy!
- Lucky has gotten cuddlier and nicer to other people. She has even been playing nice with Jake & not picking on Georgie as much either.
The whining/hollering in the bathroom has gotten worse tho. I don't know what she is hollering about but she does it daily.

-Jake is stepping up into the dominant male role. The new King of the Castle. He won't let Lucky push him around anymore. He comes up on the bed whenever he wants. He slept/cuddled with me last night with no girls on the bed. They were in the room sleeping tho, in the kitty bed and on the chair.

-Georgie has gotten more demanding for attention. Especially with me. She is more active too. Milo and Georgie really didn't click at all. Georgie kind of butted into our lives and Milo didn't appreciate it all. It was his home 1st.
Now she seems more free and less cautious without Mr. bossy pants around.
I find they are all easier going. They were stressed out b/c he was sick too.
It has been an interesting, yet sad road we have all had to take.
I have days that I just start bawling but for the most part I appreciate the fact that Milo isn't in pain or uncomfortable anymore.

Aw... :comfort: It seems they are coping well, though. I know it can be extremely hard on cats and other pets, too, when one of their family members dies.

I'll have to ask my sister to come on here and contribute to this thread. I wasn't with Aries on a daily basis so overall, it doesn't affect me, I just get sad when I think about her.

It's been 4 months since I had to put Milo down. He had chronic renal failure, end stage and battled it for 6 months and 5 days. I hope I never have to deal with that again, especially at such a young age. Milo was only 8.5 yrs old. :(
