Title: OUCH!!!!!

Liverwurst is one of my most loving kittens. He just loves to get close to me whenever he can. However, sometimes he loves to get close in ways not conducive to feeling good. You see, today he decided to jump on my back from the floor!!! YEEEOUCH!!!! I had a shirt on but it did not do much good! Of course, I have had him, as well as Pepe and Abby, jump on my back with no shirt on! :ack:

But you know what? Despite the pain, I never get mad at them. I just grin and bear it because I love them soooo much!!! :luv2: :kittyluv:

Do any of you have any ouchie stories like that to share? :)

Orlando loves to give me hugs which for him is climbing up over my left shoulder. He has often jumped over my shoulder from a counter - whether I am ready or not. When I'm not ready and don't grab on to him he digs in. I have several claw and puncture marks on my left shoulder because of him.
It's OK, though. The first time I met him I looked down at him and said, "Aren't you beautiful!" That was the first time he jumped up and hugged me like that. It was that hug that made me decide he was the one to bring home with me. :luv1:

Callie does that to me - she'll jump FROM THE FLOOR onto my back and dig in. Ugh.

Figaro loves to hug me, and sometimes scratches up my shoulders if I haven't clipped his nails.

The other night he and I were laying together in bed (he sleeps with me) and I had just fallen asleep when he woke me up, breathing really hard. Suddenly he jumped and grabbed the bed, scratching my hand in the process pretty bad. Poor guy was having such a bad dream, he was all confused about where he was...I ended up petting him and talking to him, and he calmed down...but as soon as he was better, I got up to put some hydrogen peroxide on my hand!

I've found that hydrogen peroxide works beautifully - it burns a bit when you first put it on, but after that it's fine. Cuts that I don't put it on hurt for days.

Yeah they scratch the crap out of us and we all just take it. Ah the life of a cat lover. :lmao:
