Our 13 yr old Misty went to the Bridge 2 yrs ago Dec. 19.... We really miss her.

I found her in our neighborhood and thought she was hit by a car. She was feral and a kitten. I plied her with treats and was able to grab her and take her to vet; she had about 5 vertebrae fused together in her lower back so her back legs wouldn't work independently. She scooted like a bunny, but never knew she had a problem. I called various agencies; nobody would take her; they told me to put her down :bawling:

I kept her in a bedroom; she wouldn't let me near her; then after 3 days she was up on a table and she let me pet her and she started purring, and I started crying. Hubby came home about 4 days later and she jumped in his lap....needless to say we kept her. She had some skin problems and ultimately passed from cancer.

We loved them all so very very much. It was so difficult to send them to the Bridge, but they are happy again, I'm sure....
