Title: It's a Trip

Ours like to trip us up....
We'll be walking and one or the other will just run by us...or run between our legs. I have to be careful walking down the stairs!
Or, I'll be washing dishes and someone will be by my feet and I won't know it. These kids are so quiet...I think because of all the fur on their feets!
Anybody else?

Always! ALWAYS! One of them is constantly under my feet! I don't know who is worse for it! Anytime I walk to the bathroom, Abbey cuts me off at the door because she thinks I am on my way to the kitchen to give her t-r-e-a-t-s!
I have accidently kicked little Abbers so many times, its sad! But she brings it on herself! Lola I usually just trip over.

Oh yes, that happens all the time here as well. Shadey is the WORST for it, especially at night when it's time for treats and he's trying to tell us so. :rotfl:

MARLEY!!! I think he's trying to kill me! I'll walk down the stairs and he'll come running out of no where right BETWEEN my feet! Why??? :rotfl: I've kicked him and stepped on him by accident so many times, yet he never learns. :lmao: He just comes back for more.
Jones, on the other hand, just likes to run behind me and paw at my legs. It's so cute!! :luv2:

I always feels so bad too when I accidently step on them or kick them. I'm always so afraid they'll think I did it on purpose. I'll pick them up and just keep saying I'm sorry (as if they understand).

Me too! Marley just wants down and purrs and meows and goes right back under my feet. :duh:

Ya....I've kicked ours too, not on purpose, but they keep on doing it!
Andy, Roxie and Katie do it a lot, but Sky seems to steer clear! Maybe he's seen what happens.... :lmao:

Oh, yes, and I've stepped on tails and paws several times, but they don't learn to stay away. Fortunately I wear soft-soled leather moccasins inside, so I don't think it hurt too bad. I haven't been tripped and fallen down yet, but I've had to make a few clumsy maneuvers when a cat and I both dodged the same way.
It sounds like everybody has pretty much the same experience. What I don't understand is why cats don't stay clear after being stepped on or kicked a few times?

:rotfl: I know!!! They learn quickly everything else, but when it comes to running between our feet, they never do! Now, if my piggy Jones decided to run between my feet... He'll knock me down for sure!!!
PJ Kitty - December 4, 2006 04:02 PM (GMT)
My dad has a rather portly kitty who likes to lay on the stairs that go to his bedroom, and when my dad comes down he usually trips on him, cuz he's always in a different spot. Don't ask me why he doesn't just turn on the light...

:rotfl:
Tim you're right! I'm thinking about Roxie....we have hardwood floors and when she runs around she slides and tries to stop, because of all the fur on her feet she continues to slide and bangs into a wall or door! :rotfl: She does it quite often. HAH
It doesn't harm her....Hubby says she does it on purpose! :wha: :wuteva:
Jennifer - December 5, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
And I thought mine were the only ones who did that! :lmao:
Geee wizzz, it drives me up the wall sometimes, especially when I'm cleaning or in a hurry :pullhair:
First thing this morning, I get out of bed, very tired and step right on Heidi's foot who then screams bloody murder!

I was reminded of this thread today while at the doctors for the second time in the past week to treat me for broken pinky which happened when Simone jumped out of the bathroom at me and I went pinky first into the bathroom door facing in order to avoid stepping on her. Ya-hoo (sarcastic), I get to wear a plastic cast thing on it for another month!
