Well I adopted Sparky from a local shelter and they claimed him to be a white and brown regular tabby. Well to some it doesn't really matter but I am curious all all heck because he has similar features as a Maine coon. I understand the males can get up to 15 pounds or so when they hit age 5 and Sparky certainly feels at least 12lbs. and he is solid, not fatty. But I don't have the money to spend on bloodwork so perhaps anyone that knows more then I do, does Sparky seem to have the same qualities as a Maine Coon?
Thanks anyways if you think he is just an ordinary cat.

He's a gorgeous boy and might have some Maine Coon in him from who knows when, but he also has regular domestic longhair. His ears and head type are all wrong for a Maine Coon and his body isn't right (I have showed them in the past). Whatever he is he's gorgeous.

He is definitely a cutie pie. I'd vote for domestic long hair tho. 8.gif

There's no such thing as just an ordinary cat! 5.gif

He looks like Ruby - she's a domestic longhair (crossed with a squirrel we think!), although from your description he's a lot bigger - Ruby only weighs around 2.8kg and can pass for a kitten although she'll be 3 this year!

Here's Sparky's mini-me....
