Introducing Skid Mark, aka Skiddy. A cute little DSH tortie. Okay, so, yeah I don't think she'll be leaving me, but I did take her in with the intent to foster..
Skiddy was found stumbling on the side of the road on June 4th when she was about 9 weeks old. She was brought to my friend's clinic where they assessed her. It was pretty obvious she had been hit b a car. They took x-rays which showed a slight pelvis fracture, also contusions (bruising) on her lungs. She also had pretty bad road rash on her tummy.
Since her fracture wasn't too bad it was decided to try cage rest for 6-8 weeks. So, on June 5th she was transferred to my clinic.
In no time she was definitely my kitten and would scream for me once she heard my voice. Luckily she was able to use the bathroom (always a worry with pelvis injuries), so she had a chance. Every day she's gotten stronger and stronger. Now she mainly walks normally around in her cage (she's at my house now since I no longer work at that clinic). She still has about a month left on cage rest and boy is she not happy with that! She wants out NOW!
In addition to her pelvis injury she also has a pretty good sized umbilical hernia that'll need repaired once she's spayed. Also, the last 1.5 inches of her tail is damaged and might need amputated at the time of her spay.
But she's very sweet and loving!

Next up is Gia. She's about 1 year old, a pretty dilute calico DSH. These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago. I need to take new ones since she is huge now..very pregnant. I believe this is probably her second litter of kittens and she probably had barely weened her last litter before getting pregnant this time. She's gonna have her babies here and we'll raise them before they are all up for adoption.
She is very sweet and loving also.

And finally Sophia. A beautiful longhaired brown mackerel torbie. She was brought to the clinic I worked at when someone found her being terrorized by some kids. She was pretty frightened but also very sweet. She is already spayed and declawed (grrr) from whoever her former owner was. We tried for several weeks to find her owner and when we didn't I tested her and vaccinated her, then brought her to my house. She is going to go live with my cousin and his wife just as soon as I can get her to them.

Grrrr...I hate photobucket anymore, all the vertical pictures should be upright, but they are showing horizontal, even though I uploaded them as vertical and even THEN used photobucket to once again rotate them to vertical..
